I actually watched a French film when I was in Singapore. Somehow it's comforting for me to be able to do something French on my own turf...How would you explain that?
I can't explain it but I know what you mean. My reasons are slightly different. My French is not good enough to understand 100% of what's going on so I still need to rely on subtitles. Which is why I can never watch a movie in France unless it's on TV5. But here in Singapore, I'm sure there will be subtitles.
