The 3 olive trees that we have are weighing with olives. I'd be all over them when they turn black. I'm already fighting off everybody who asked if I was going to do anything with them. Of course. Except I don't really know what or how. Does anybody know a good way to preserve olives ?

I don't ever eat olives but I love olive oil. And I especially love olive trees with olives on them.
I have bought an olive plant last year but from the look of things it'll be years before it'll ever bear fruit...
How long have you planted yours?
soak them in olive oil ...
Lotus - We planted ours 4 years ago & they only just started bearing fruits this year so it shouldn't be that long.
Meng - I need to preserve them longer. I doubt just olive oil will do. Anyway I've been given a few recipes so will try them out & post them soon.
