These just arrived in the mail. 3 bottles of mycellium or mushroom spores. Rene has now embarked on a new project to cultivate mushrooms in his basement. I told you we're mushroom crazy chez nous. This really brings it to the another level.
I found a website that sells these & ordered 3 different strains for him to try. I'll be sure to post about this & hopefully we will be able to reap the benefits of this venture.

You should document the cultivation process because if it works, I also want to try leh. But I don't have a basement...
I love mushrooms too, especially shitake, cèpe and girolles.
I will do that cos I'm also interested in how it works & possibly trying it out myself too. Don't need basement - just somewhere dark & damp. Great - we can both experiment with this.
It's possible to cultivate shitake but they grow on logs unlike the types that I ordered - compost with horse manure (any chance that's available to you ?). As for cepes & girolles, unfortunately not. They only grow in the wild.
If you come visit us at the right time, I'll bring you mushroom hunting.
