Where our olive trees are, stand the house which used to be the work & living space of X's family. A place where we used to live before we moved to our present house.
We are in the midst of renovating the house to make apartments. There are of course outside contractors to do the major works like insulation, plumbing, electricity etc. but most of the interior work will be done by us. X is on leave for the next 3 months which means yours truly will be joining him everyday on the site tearing down wall paper, sanding, varnishing, painting & cleaning.
In order to save time, we will be lunching on the site but that doesn't mean we'll be surviving on sandwiches. X installed a microwave so we'll be able to heat up our meals. I prepare the meals during the weekends or the night before or draw on the reserve in the freezer.
In the weeks to come, I hope to still be posting recipes whenever I can. Don't expect anything fancy but rather quick & substantial meals.
Meanwhile, The Girl is on a new schedule. She stays in the school the whole day, eating in the canteen & even staying in the garderie (day care in the school) till 6 when we pick her up. She seem to have adjusted really well to this new routine claiming that there are many toys & friends in the garderie.
There's a lot of work to be done but things are going well & hopefully it will be finished in time before we head off for our vacation.

That IS a really big project, Mrs X. Can't wait to see the end results - keep us posted.
It is but at least one of us know what they are doing. I'm just very good at following instructions.....
Will definitely follow up with more stories & photos.
