We had a visitor

We had a bit of a drama this evening. There was a visitor who decided to moosie his way through the opening of our wall & came right into our garden.

It was one of our neighbour's cows. Just in front of our house, in the valley, is grazing ground for a herd of cows. It's all fenced up but another neighbour is building an access to his house so part of that fence is down. One of the cows must have gotten bored & decided to break away from the herd to see if the grass is indeed greener on this side.

When he came into our garden, Christophe my next door neighbour started ringing his bell to help chase him away. However he didn't stay long cos there was really nothing except stones & sand (phew cos I would have no idea what to do if he had decided to make himself at home).

So you see, my dear readers, this is just one day in the life in the French countryside.

I'd taken this picture of the cows last summer

Mine was beside herself when the cow came in. In the meantime, all I could think about was how to shoo him out.

So how's supermom doing ?

ROFL. What interesting life you have in the countryside. Over here in dull-land, what I have is pigeons* pooing at our tiny and only balcony. I don't go out to the balcony because of this!

* My husband calls them pigeons rats with wings.

I have a friend in Bangkok who is also having problems with pigeons squatting on her balcony. Sigh what are we doing to do with these birds ?
